For a publication design course, I designed a book jacket for a book of my choosing. My choice was We Have Always Lived in the Castle written by Shirley Jackson, a short, gothic novel. I hand drew the illustrations throughout and digitized them in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. The elements depicted on this cover, including the cat, window, mushrooms, and berries, are from the novel. The dimensions of the book jacket are based on a chosen dummy book, and I used the Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien.
