The drawing on the left is of the sand worm from the film Beetlejuice. I used micron pens and a stipple technique on drawing paper to achieve this texture. I used this drawing in my Beetlejuice movie poster project that can been seen under Typography.
To the right, his art was originally made with charcoal sticks on charcoal paper. I then uploaded the scanned image to Adobe Illustrator and used the image trace mechanic to create a similar texture to the sand worm drawing. This digitized drawing was featured in my Fugazi poster
project under Typography.
These drawings were inspired by the 1984 Studio Ghibli film Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind. These were done in a collage style with elements build off of each other. The drawing on the left has many of my personal motifs such as eyes, insects, and cyber sigilism.
The drawing on the right was heavily inspired by Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind. The buildings in the background are my interpretation of an ancient city from the original source material (manga). Many of the details in this drawing and the one on the right were done using pointillism
with a fine pen.
